Kazuki Nakajima will race for Williams official in 2008


Williams team today confirmed that Japanese driver Kazuki Nakajima will partner Nico Rosberg next season's Formula One Nakajima made his debut in the premier class of motorsport in the Brazilian Grand Prix of 2007 where he replaced Alexander Wurz .
Besides competing in the GP2 Series, Nakajima was the test and reserve driver for Williams in 2007. Since 2003, when he won the Formula Toyota Championship, was part of the Driver Development Program of Toyota. More recently, Nakajima participated in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship and Formula 3 Euroseries.

"This is the culmination of a great year for me," said the Japanese driver. "Exit the garage Williams at Albert Park last March was something amazing, and now they have confirmed that an official driver will be a dream come true."
"I am very grateful to Toyota for the support they have given me through your program of pilots, and Williams for the faith they have placed in me," Nakajima said. "There is much work to do before the start of next season, but I will do whatever is necessary to show Williams and Toyota who have made a good investment."

During the course of 2007, Nakajima completed 7,000 kilometers for the Williams team as test driver, as well as a representative of the team during practice on Friday of each grand prix. He completed his season with a good debut in the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.
